It generally takes approximately a month to process a visa application. The period of visa issuance is different from country to country. Please inquire about visa issuance at the Korean Embassy or Consulate Office in your country of residence.
How to Apply
- Submit the completed application form along with other required documents to SKHU Korean Language Center by mail (korean@skhu.ac.kr) or in person.

Required Application Materials
For those who do not apply for a student visa(D-4 Visa) (Basic Required Document)

- Personal information collection and use agreement (with form)
- Cover letter (with form)
- Academic plan (with form)
- Original copies graduation certificate or expected graduation certificate or enrolment certificate from the applicant’s most recent academic background.
- An apostille or Notarization of Korean Consulate (In case your country is not a member of Apostille) is required for graduation certificates and transcripts issued in 26 countries below.
- (Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mali, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Uganda, and Vietnam)
- For Chinese students, certificate of graduation or proof of enrolment must be certified by the Ministry of Education.
- Besides above 26 countries, a translated(Must be translated Korean or English) and notarized certificate is required.
- One copy of the applicant’s passport
For those who do apply for a student visa (Application for D-4 Visa)

- Original copies of Bank Certificate of applicant’s deposit balance KRW 10,000,000 or above
- A bank statement in the name of one of the applicant's immediate family members is acceptable with a certified document verifying family register/relation.
- If applicants have gap more than 1 year after graduation, submit the proof documents.
(ex. Certificate of employment, career certificate and etc.) - Reference (submit only upon request after document screening)
- 1) Reference by a Korean (notarized)
- Qualification for surety: an employed Korean 20 years of age or older who resides in Korea.
- Foreigners aged 20 years or older who live in Korea, own Korean permanent residency, and have a job
- 2) Proof of Employment (original)
- For business operators: a copy of their business license

KRW 10,000,000 over Bank statements must be issued within one calendar month prior to application. To be valid, the minimum balance must have been maintained for at least six months. 1. Employed Applicants: Career certificated and reasons to study abroad If there is other significant information to report, submit the relevant documents after inquiry. - Admission may be cancelled when submitting forged documents or making false statements.
- Additional documents may be requested during the document screening process and the submitted documents will not be returned.

Tuition Fees
- Admission Fee : KRW 50,000 (non-refundable)
- Tuition per semester : KRW 1,200,000/1 semester
- Pay extra expense for teaching materials
- All fees reflected when depositing tuition will be borne by the student.

Postponement and Cancellation
Postponement
- If a student is unable to participate in our program for personal reasons after completing the enrolment procedure, his/her enrolment can be postponed once if the reason for postponement is submitted a week prior to the program starting date.
- If the student does not attend school in the designated semester, his/her enrolment will be cancelled and tuition fees will not be returned.
- Enrolment cannot be postponed without a visa.
Cancellation
- Enrolment can be cancelled if applicants are unable to attend due to their personal reason after completing the registration process.
- For enrolment cancellation, students must submit required documents.
(a completed withdrawal form, a copy of bank book, proof of departure or transfer) - If enrolment is cancelled, tuition fees will be returned according to the cancellation policy. (Korea Education Law 23 ‘Refunds of Tuition’)
If you do not allow a visa, complete and submit an application for cancellation one week before the start of the class and you will receive a refund of the entire tuition except the admission fee.
